Proposed Sainsbury’s Supermarket

Delivery of planning permission for a 100,000 sq.ft. Sainsbury’s Supermarket as part of a new urban expansion to the south of Ayr. The project involved providing retail planning strategy advice to the client, undertaking an in-depth Retail Impact Assessment and related negotiations with South Ayrshire Council and their appointed retail consultant. Further to this we also achieved permission to expand the non-food floorspace, via a Section 42 application, the first to exceed the Local Plan’s 10% non-food floorspace restriction.
